Members of the Maryland State and Montgomery County Board of Education,

I am disgusted by the Montgomery County Board of Education's decision to use our children's school funds to push a controversial political agenda. They have wasted hundreds of thousands of dollars writing and rewriting a biased and inaccurate curriculum, not to mention the legal fees they have spent trying to defend it. 

Over 250 doctors in the area have signed a statement saying that information in the curriculum is inaccurate. Is the gay lobby so strong that adult educators who we entrust to safeguard the health of our children will not cross them at any cost? We are talking about our children's lives! The gay lobbyists cannot have it both ways; they cannot include information about the gay lifestyle and not disclose complete information about the risks. This is not a lifestyle to experiment with lightly. Children should be well informed before they risk their health. 

The debate over whether gay behavior is due to nature or nurture is still raging. No definitive conclusions have been made by science and society in general. Yet, this County's School Board seems to be way ahead of science on this. They have included in the curriculum the statement that gay behavior is innate.  This is just ridiculous. 

I ask you to halt this curriculum and its attempts to undermine the values of many parents, religious denominations and community members.
