For parents concerned about the increasing secular anti-values agenda pushed on their children courtesy of our local public school system, the recommendations of the Montgomery County Education Association (the apple ballot) deserve a hard look.
Every election the Montgomery County Education Association (MCEA) distributes “apple ballots” recommending the “teacher’s choice” candidates at every polling place. Here are a couple of points to keep in mind when reviewing these endorsements:
| • |
The “apple ballot” does not represent the “teacher’s choice” – it represents the endorsement of the MCEA teachers union. |
| • |
Bonnie Cullison, the president of the MCEA, was the co-chair and a founding member of the GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual and Transgender) chapter of the National Education Association. |
| • |
At last year’s convention, the National Education Association passed a resolution endorsing same-sex marriage. MCEA is a chapter of the NEA. |
| • |
Without fail, the extreme left secularist organizations endorse the “Apple Ballot” candidates. |
