These are the approved resources that the MCPS Sex-Ed used to create and support the new curriculum. Students cannot opt out of the 8th and 10th grade Mental Health Units,
8th and 10th grade Family Life Unit, and the 10th grade Safety, First Aid and Injury Prevention Unit. Students can opt out of just the Human Sexuality Unit, however all of these units discuss Heterosexuality and sexual variations [Homosexuality, Bisexuality and Transgenderism] Note: students are
required to take the 10th grade Mental Health Unit to graduate.
